ah, anime. where do i even begin

so, my first anime was technically dbz but i dont rly count that because it didn't register as anime to me, i just saw it as "very detailed cartoon" but didn't realize it was originally in japanese and that there was a whole medium of works just like it

my first, REAL anime was one piece. to this day one piece is one of my faves even tho i dont watch/read it much anymore

some of my other foundational early anime were the early-to-late 2000s shounen classics: bleach, naruto, fairy tail, etc. from there i just generally tended to gravitate towards fantasy/adventure series, like magi, blue exorcist, and soul eater.

after i got over my not like other girls phase at around age 14, i also started to watch more shoujo and absolutely fell in love with it! some of my fave shoujo include: my little monster, blue spring ride, ouran high school host club, and yamato nadeshiko shichihenge

i also got suuuper into sports anime right that, i have no idea why but it happened XD my fave sports anime are kuroko's basketball, haikyuu, and cross game

nowadays i mostly only read manga, but the last anime i watched was chainsaw man and it was pretty good!
